We announce the next phase of our Customer
Service transformation to simplify and invest
in our service organisation to differentiate
ourselves from the competition. Complex
work moves from Bristol in the first of a
number of moves to consolidate work into
fewer operational BT Wholesale CS sites, so
we can better direct quality training closer
collaboration and simplified support for our
people. This move is followed later in the year
in the months below, and in all cases we work
with our people to find the vast majority new
roles in other areas of BT Group. Thank you to
everyone involved for your commitment and
professionalism as we made these important
changes for our future.
Sept – Volume and Complex work
moved out of Crawley and Volume
from Coventry. New roles secured
for individuals in both BT Billing and
BT Fleet.
Nov – Complex work moved out of
Bedford & Walsall. New roles secured
for individuals in Openreach.
BT Wholesale and GTM (Global
Telecom Markets) join AT&T to
support Cancer Research UK at the
NGL Golf-Fore-Charity Golf Day.
We secure our first
win of the Field Services
practice area in Strategic Business
Development; a multi-million pound
framework contract with Huawei, to refresh
old mobile 2G/3G technology and install
& commission new 4G equipment at
the sites of key mobile operator
customers.

a deal for broadband line provision
with Zen internet.
